We visited Harper’s Woods (a private nature preserve). It is located near Bradford (in Stark Co, Illinois). It is quite dificult to find. The woods themselves have been preserved since the 1860’s. I provide a video overview of our field trip. If you were not present, you missed an opportunity to see what Illinois woods would look like with minimal human interactions since before the Civil War.

Hre are two Theta 360 views of the woods (for those who could not be present). Yes, this trip happened on the hottest day of the year (so far).
